Farmer's Market -- 09 February 2012
Feb. 9th, 2013 08:50 pmBatard of white bread, gouda cheese, parisien macaroons from Praline's (it's my birthday, I'm going to try something new), York apples (for apple cake), and 2 lbs of bison cubes for the beef and barley stew that tastes exactly like the Campbell's Soup version, but better.
Also, some friends and I went to Poste Moderne, because I'm only going to turn 40 once. I also bought myself Cristina Pato's Migrations album today, because jazz with Gallician bagpipes is fantastic.

It's definitely the place to go if you're flush and want to have absolutely fantastic food. I had turnip soup with elephant garlic chips, a quiche that was probably 3 inches tall and filled with slab bacon, and a exquisite apple pie.
