I had my first physical therapy appointment today. It looks like I will be able to afford the co-payments because I still have money in my HSA, which was a concern.

The therapist had me do a lot of foot stretches to evaluate how I'm doing. Good news, I do have a good bit of mobility/flexibilty, so it's just a matter of building up strength and stamina.

I have blocked out my sessions for the rest of February, and the most I might need to do is buy some sweatpants for the sessions (though find ones that fit is going to be a pain); from there, it's just a matter of getting to the physical therapy office on time.

[personal profile] fabrisse and I are attending DisCon/WorldCon this weekend -- she gave me a membership for Christmas 2019.

About 12:30, my ankle rolled as I was coming down the lobby stairs and I fell down at least two steps and crash on the marble floor. As this was in front of the whole lobby, the con medic and hotel medic were there in seconds.

They made sure I hadn't actually broken something first off, then got me water and ice pack, and a chair to sit in for a bit. I wrote up an incident report for the hotel medic, but declined an EMS or an ambulance.

[personal profile] fabrisse lent me her cane -- I had to adjust it because I'm 4-5 inches taller than her -- and she and the con medic got me to my next panel. Which was a fascinating lecture on shoe construction, because cons will occasionally let you talk about ANYTHING. But that wore me out.

[personal profile] fabrisse got me into a taxi and I went home. I'm not missing the con, since a lot of the panels are available online. I've taken aleve, and I might wind up in bed with my ankle propped up soon.

I just knocked my phone off the table it was charging on -- and the power cord snapped off inside the phone when it landed.

I was able to remove the broken bit with needle-nose pliers, but this means I'll have to hit up the Apple store tomorrow to see if I can get a replacement. That'll be fun.

I have a dime sized bruise developing on the inside of my left elbow. I had a blood draw at the doctor's today, and the technician just couldn't get the blood to flow, even with a lot of moving. So that arm hurts, and he had to draw from the other one anyway.

I am officially sick with something -- running nose, fever, ear ache -- and will soon take to my bed and hope this passes quickly. A three-day weekend is a rare treat, and I don't want to be sick through all of it, especially when I have things to do.

I got sent home by my boss because I looked so unwell at an afternoon meeting. I think (hope) I have a stomach bug and I just need some extra sleep.

Someone threw half my mint pants, my primrose, all of my smaller strawberries, and my smaller shadbush into the trash and recycling bins today. I managed to rescue a bunch of them, but I'm pretty pissed off.

I'm really afraid it was the groundskeeping staff at my apartment, who have been around pruning (badly) and I generally haven't trusted since they planted rows of boxwoods all over.

So now I have to decide whether it is worth complaining to the housing office, or whether they'll say it's my fault for leaving my outside plants outside over winter.
