Fast sock...

One nice thing about knitting a plain sock is that it goes much faster than one with a fancy stitch pattern.

In other words, almost four inches already:

And the yarn pattern came out rather pretty, didn't it?

I'll probably be ready to start the heel flap by tomorrow evening.

(And I'm finding that about plain socks, too. Never made one before - it seemed pointless - but boy, does it zoom.)

It's a Regia brand -- one of the cotton/wool blends. I like how smooth it is.

There's a pair of socks that have been languishing in my UFO pile for months now that I really ought to get back to. I'd finished the first one, actually, only to find out that it was too long for the intended recipient's foot, so I had to rip back, and really haven't picked it up again since.

I ought to knit more socks. They're fun to do, and even the plain ones keep me amused. :D
