Fortunately, I've got enough hours of leave to miss one day -- but I really need to get groceries (the farmer's market consisted of ONE vendor today -- Smith Meadows, which sells pasta, meat and eggs, not fruit or vegetables), and the easiest one to get to Giant across from Silver Spring Metro. I *might* be able to hike to the co-op but it's going to be a trip across residential sidewalks and packed snow/ice, which is never fun. :P

When is it expected that above ground trains will be running? Are buses running or will that take two or three more days? Do you think anyone will get into the lab? How are the roads? Can you walk to the Giant or the co-op? Are you out of all vegetables and fruits? I know you don't have much storage but do you keep a few extra apples and other things that have a longer shelf life than soft fruits? I am surprised any vendor made it in to the market. Did many people oome out to shop?
