I'm making socks for my niece for Christmas.. using the 'Pink Tourmaline' yarn from Crash Into Ewe's Jewel Collection.

Now I'm trying to decide which pattern out of Sock Innovation I should use... I'm thinking Devon might be good, but mostly I want one of the simpler ones without much purling.

That is, indeed, passing shiny. Will it be slick to knit, do you think?

Are you poking around in other places than Sock Innovation? Because I think Nutkins would be really pretty in that yarn, and I know I'm certainly enjoying knitting mine up. They're a speedy knit.

This is lovely wool indeed. Yum! As for a Sock Innovation pattern, I think you'll be surprised at how easy Kai-Mei is. It's fun to knit because it has an unusual shape, and I think this lovely pink would really look great in that pattern.

The Devon pattern would look wonderful with this yarn, and quite possibly the shiny bits might highlight the diamond pattern very nicely. Do you plan on swatching first?
