Savory cookies...

I was thinking about making another clafouti for the TKP Gay and Lesbian Brunch this weekend, but I think I'll be making tea savories instead. It's almost a mile of walking to the hosts' place this time round, and those will weather the trip better.

Now I just need to check if I have enough Irish Breakfast tea left to make them, and if I need to buy another sheet of puff pastry dough... and maybe pick up a rutabaga tomorrow so I can make Autumnal Soup (with apples, squash, and root vegetables) this weekend.

The Autumnal Soup sounds great right now! I've been craving veggies like mad but haven't had the chance to go out and buy some yet. Maybe this weekend...

It's annoying -- I can't seem to find my tea cookbook. I'll have to look on Saturday, when I actually have light. If I can't find it, I'll have to make something else; finger-food of some sort, though I'm not sure what.

Maybe banana cake? That usually goes over well.

Hmm, wouldn't banana bread travel better than banana cake? C&H has a wonderful recipe that calls for brown sugar instead of white. Moist and delicious.

I made sour-cream banana cake. Which I got most of back, since there was a LOT of food this time round.
