I've just come home from the farmer's market.
I bought:
1 lb of Swiss chard -- for easy noodle dish, made mostly from plants
5 apples -- for lunch all week
4oz scratch cheese -- a blue cheese that failed to blue, it's tangy and spreadable and sort of aspargus-y in taste. I'll buy flank steak and make myself several meals.
4oz Bouvre cheese -- like chevre, except made with cow's milk, to share with
ellen_fremedon and
sanj
1 loaf Country French bread, sliced -- to share with

1 loaf Chili Cheddar bread
4 tomatoes -- to be made into Ravioli Pottage soup from Twelve Months of Monastery Soups
