I tried a new recipe from Going Solo in the Kitchen tonight. It made a lot more than the listed '2 servings', and it needs garlic -- and much less cream cheese, which I find iffy outside of bagels and cheesecake.

The cherry ice cream is turning out well, and I may make peach *and* creme fraiche batches for the weekend.

Have you tried crab rangoon or plain cream cheese wontons? Very delish. It's the first thing I look for if I'm eating at a Chinese buffet.

Your dish looks very tasty, too. Would it work better for you if you stuck it in a casserole dish, topped it with bread crumbs, and broiled it until it's toasted?

It is? For some strange reason, it looked to me as if it were sauteed in a pan, then transferred to a serving dish.

And I agree, more garlic is better, in just about any pasta dish (or meat, for that matter).

I...cream cheese? What? No. I was about to say "Oh, that book sounds marvelous!" but the whole cream-cheese-in-pasta thing is making me view it with a curled lip and a cynical eye. Maybe I'll get it from the library first. ;)
