Farmer's Market -- 12 June 11

crafty_packratBatard of white bread, eggs, sweet red cherries, blueberries, strawberries, extra-large eggs, plumbago plant (for the flowers), quart of milk, plain quark, mint (for the aqua fresca recipe from the Mitsitam Cafe cookbook), onions and potatoes (half-price, end of season). Pork shoulder for Puerto Rican style Pork Shoulder.
I planted some of the leftover microgreen seeds (spicy mix), a pot of anise, and a planter box-full of Pot of Gold chard yesterday, which will hopefully exhaust my garden acquisition impulse for the rest of the summer. My cilantro (supposedly slow-bolting, but given the current heat wave, I'm not betting on anything) is coming along nicely, and both my Corsican mints are still alive.
