My local farmer's market was open today, despite a declared state of emergency -- this may be the last one open for a while, so I did go shopping.
A dozen eggs, half gallon of creamline milk, quart of chocolate milk, 1 lb mixed fresh mushrooms, 1 pack of dried mushrooms, 1 lb of thick-cut smoked bacon, miche sourdough bread, spinach croissant, chocolate croissant (Atwater's Bakery had all their baked goods in plastic bags which they usually only do with their gluten-free breads), 'taste of india' handpies, wicked bars, buttermilk cake with caramel frosting, white cookie bar, vegan chocolate peanut butter cake, galaktoboureko, greek almond cake, vanilla and thyme olive oil cake, baklava poptarts, dried apple slices, and 4 lbs of apples (enough for an apple a day for 2 weeks).
As soon as the bacon thaws, I'm making Simplest Split Pea Soup from How to Cook Everything (1st edition, which my sister gave me when it came out, and has been used to point the spine is split into 2 parts and totally separated from the cover)
