Farmer's Market -- 27 March 2011

Batard of white bread, 6 oz of shiitake mushrooms, 2.5 lbs pork shoulder, pink lady apples, bosc pears, red and yellow onions, chicken empanada.

I'm making Soba with pea shoots, mushrooms and leeks right now, will make mushroom stock with the shiitake stems and maybe some plain white mushrooms tomorrow, and pork chili on Tuesday. Maybe a pear clatoufi on Thursday. Will need to stop at the grocery for carrots and the like.

Had brunch with ellen_fremedon and enjoyed a nice ham and cheddar omelet.

Now looking at plane tickets -- :P on how expensive they are.
