On to the second goldfish

I've finished and sewn up the toe on the first Goldfish sock

It's really adorable ...



I'm using the Koi pattern from The Eclectic Sole pattern book by Janel Laidman. I'm looking forward to her second book, The Enchanted Sole, though I do hope she's include more information about adjust the socks for larger or smaller than average feet. The preview patterns are pretty -- especially Alchemist and Tree of Life.

I certainly have enough sock yarn to complete every pattern in these books...

Why is it called goldfish and will the second be the same striping or will these be fraternal twin socks?

Well, because the pattern is 'Koi', and these are kind of goldfish colors.

I'm being careful, and the striping will match as much as I can get it to, but I when I get to the heel, things will probably slip a little.

Very lovely. The colorway compliments the pattern beautifully, instead of overpowering it.

I think they just had some info on adjusting sock patterns on either Knitting Daily or Knit and Crochet Today recently. Maybe check out their website? Or even Interweave?
