Sheep and Wool Tomorrow!

This weekend is the Maryland Sheep and Wool Festival.

I have a plan this time!

Must buy:

2 tomato plants (one dwarf) and sundry herbs—Thorne Farms
1 lb honey candy—Bee Folks
1 spindle

Look for:

2 skeins sockweight yellow yarn equivalent to Indigo Moon Merino Superwash 2-ply fingering weight (100% Superwash Merino Wool, 370 yds/341 m per 3 ½ oz/100 g skein) in color Buttercup for Netherfield socks

2 skeins (100g) sock yarn in cotton/blend ragg for [personal profile] mrshamill

2 skeins (100g) wool sock yarn in ragg for [personal profile] mrshamill

2 skeins (100g) cotton sock yarn ombre for self

1350 yards (1 skein Helen's Lace or equivalent) laceweight in semi-solid or solid for Irtfa'a

700 yards fingering semi-solid for Ostrich Plumes Stole

2 skein (different color, solids) sport Euroflax for spectator hat (check Summer 2002 Interweave for pattern)

16 skeins Fiddlesticks Knitting Luscious Tweed (90% Wool, 10% Silk; 114 yds/105 m per 1 ¾ oz/50 g skein) in Peacock (or Garnet) for Ardent Jacket [DK weight, 1800 -2000 yds)

1 skein Pagewood Farm St. Elias Sock (80% Bluefaced Leicester, 20% nylon; 450 yd/411 m per 4 oz/113.5 g) in New Horizon [or equivalent] for Elissa hat & scarf

1 47-inch size 7 circular for lace knitting

8oz+ ball winder for lace winding (only if under $100; check auction for deals)

Admittedly, this is a pretty big list, but a lot of the 'Look for' items are 'maybes'; I'm trying to keep my magpie tendencies (oooo! shiny!) under control.
